Annual Interest Multimedia & Interactive Art Exhibition & Fundraising Raffle to Benefit Young At Art

DAVIE, Fla. — In celebration of South Florida’s artists, Young At Art Museum will present Annual Interest, a multimedia and interactive art exhibition and fundraising raffle on Friday, Jan. 11, 2013 from 7:30 to 11 p.m., at the Museum, 751 S.W. 121 Ave. in Davie.

Presented by Young At Art’s Bedlam Lorenz Assembly, a cooperative contemporary arts and alternative projects group, the evening will include the debut of exhibition “No. 1,” that will run through Feb. 7, 2013 in the Museum’s Knight Gallery, and feature works by contemporary Florida artists including Leah Brown, Nicole Burko, Martin Casuso, Jessica Laino, Tina Laporta, Francesco Locastro, Pepe Mar, Jillian Mayer, Ben Morey, Jonathan Rockford and Peter Symons.

Along with the exhibition, guests will enjoy a fundraising raffle featuring more than 50 contemporary artists, as well as interactive art activities such as ceramics, recording sessions, printmaking and digital photography in the Young At Art Institute studios.

Throughout the Museum, culinary delights, music and cocktails will be creatively presented with décor by IKEA Sunrise, featuring craft beer and cheese pairings by Whole Foods Market and exotic flavors of craft beers by B.R.E.W. FIU.

“This will be an exciting, energy-filled event that will launch Young At Art’s 2013 series of group and solo spotlight exhibitions, artist lectures and workshops,” said Mindy Shrago, CEO and founder of Young At Art Museum. “By supporting South Florida’s contemporary artists and providing them with a venue to display their works, we also greatly enhance the Museum’s innovative gallery experiences for our visitors.”

Last year, Young At Art Museum hosted the Bedlam Lorenz Assembly’s first interactive art invitational event which raised nearly $15,000.
