AutoNation Associates on Florida’s Suncoast Go the Extra Mile to Beat Cancer At the Miles for Moffitt Run/Walk

Under blue Suncoast skies, Associates of AutoNation, Inc. (NYSE:AN) from Tampa, Clearwater, St. Petersburg and Fort Myers joined over 7,000 like-minded runners and walkers in downtown Tampa — in person and virtually — for the 16th annual Miles for Moffitt presented by AutoNation to benefit cancer research.  In addition to being the presenting sponsor, AutoNation raised an additional $72,000 beyond the record-breaking $1.25 million in contributions from more than 360 participating race teams and other generous supporters.

Since 2013, AutoNation, America’s largest and most admired automotive retailer, has raised more than $30 million to drive out cancer, create awareness and support critical research through its DRIVE PINK initiative. AutoNation works with over 21,000 Associates at more than 325 locations coast-to-coast, along with customers, friends and charity partners on one goal: to drive out cancer. Moffitt Cancer Center is one of AutoNation’s longest-standing DRIVE PINK partners.

“Our shared vision at AutoNation is to help beat cancer by supporting the important research underway at Moffitt and other outstanding cancer research and treatment centers,” said AutoNation Region President Dave Koehler. “Eliminating cancer is a goal that unites people everywhere, from every walk of life, including our Associates, customers and the communities where we live and work.”
