AutoNation Supports Cancer Patients During 7th Annual DRVPNK Across America Day

Associates and soccer players fill thousands of comfort bags for cancer patients

at Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital and partnering hospitals across the U.S.

AutoNation, Inc. (NYSE: AN, America’s largest and most admired automotive retailer, celebrated its 7th Annual DRVPNK Across America Day to support the company’s ongoing commitment to “drive out” cancer. AutoNation Associates joined with Inter Miami CF players Leandro González Pirez, Sami Guediri, Julián Carranza and John McCarthy at DRV PNK Stadium in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, to fill thousands of comfort bags for cancer patients across the country.

“I am proud of the charitable work AutoNation and Inter Miami CF are doing together as a team,” said Marc Cannon, Executive Vice President and Chief Customer Experience Officer. “Through DRVPNK, AutoNation has raised more than $28 million to create awareness, support critical research and fund cancer treatments. Thanks to amazing partnerships like the one we share with Inter Miami CF, we’ve been able to make a considerable impact in the fight against cancer.”

This year’s bags included handwritten messages of hope written by Associates from AutoNation locations across the country. Once the bags were filled, 250 bags were loaded into AutoNation’s iconic, DRVPNK-wrapped Silverado and delivered to cancer patients at Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital in Hollywood, Florida.

AutoNation is recognized for “turning the auto industry pink” through its singular charitable mission, Drive Pink (DRVPNK). Every October, AutoNation Associates from coast to coast unite to honor those touched by cancer on DRVPNK Across America Day. To date, more than 15,000 comfort bags have been delivered to children and adults undergoing treatment.
