BankUnited Opens Gym for Employees

4,500 square-foot facility is newest offering in the company’s employee wellness initiative

MIAMI LAKES, Fla. (January 11, 2017) BankUnited has opened a 4,500 square-foot gym at its Miami Lakes corporate headquarters that will offer employees state-of-the-art fitness equipment, fitness classes and health education events.

The use of the gym will be offered free of charge to all employees weekdays from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. The gym will contain a variety of state-of-the-art training equipment including machines and free weights. Group exercise classes, ranging from beginner to more advanced, will be launched in spinning, core, Zumba, yoga, PiYo workouts and boot camp.

The gym will also offer a variety of fitness and other types of wellness challenges for employees as well as specialty classes to raise awareness of certain health-related campaigns such as those for breast cancer and autism.
