Broward Education Foundation, the only 501(c)3 charitable organization solely dedicated to serving students and teachers in Broward County Public Schools, announced it is accepting nominations for its 2024 Hall of Fame Awards. The annual event recognizes graduates of Broward County Public Schools who have made significant contributions to the community, their profession and education.
If you know of a deserving community leader or a champion of education, please nominate them at browardeducationfoundation.org/nominate on or before September 13, 2024.
Honorees will be recognized in the following categories:
· Bravo! Award, presented to an alumnus who has made an indelible mark in the community
· Community Achievement Award, presented to alumni who have made significant achievements in any field
· Education Achievement Award, presented to alumni who have dedicated their careers to public education
“It’s truly inspiring to honor the remarkable achievements of Broward County Public Schools graduates, who continuously make selfless contributions to our community, education, and their respective fields,” said James A. Knapp, President & CEO of Broward Education Foundation. “We are honored to recognize these outstanding individuals by inducting them into the Broward Education Foundation’s Hall of Fame.”
Broward Education Foundation will host the 2024 Hall of Fame Awards on Friday, December 13, 2024 from 7:30 – 10:30 a.m. at the Fort Lauderdale Baptist Church. Reminiscent of the Hollywood Walk of Fame in California, Broward’s distinguished alumni will be honored with large, engraved granite stars on the BrightStar Credit Union “Walk of Fame” permanently located at the Broward County Public Schools District Office, 600 S.E. Third Ave., Fort Lauderdale.
Broward Education Foundation’s distinguished 2023 Hall of Fame honorees included Teddy Morse, Chairman & CEO Ed Morse Automotive Group; Nitin Motwani, Managing Partner of Merrimac Ventures; Wilnar Julmiste, Esq., Managing Attorney, Julmiste Legal Fonnie Gill, Vice-President of Centennial Bank in Pompano Beach; Jeannie Krouch, Kindergarten Teacher and Equity Liaison for Westchester Elementary School; Joseph Luechauer, Broward County Public Schools Music and Performing Arts K-12 Curriculum Supervisor and Jocelyn Reid, Principal, Walker Elementary School.
