Business for the Arts of Broward Announces Call to Artists for 7th Annual Art & Soul

German Shepherd by Claudia Hafner (from Art & Soul 2020)

Business for the Arts of Broward (BFA) is seeking entries from established and emerging artists for its 7th Annual Art & Soul. Selected works will be featured as part of a virtual exhibit on BFA’s website, www.bfabroward.org, throughout May 2021.

Work can be 2D or 3D and must be original in concept, design and execution. Selection is based on originality, creativity, workmanship and artistic distinction. The theme and medium are open, including (but not limited to) photography, painting, drawing, print making, paper art, fiber art, wood, clay metal, glass and mixed media.

There are no size restrictions or limitations for submitted work, but all works must be priced up to $500 and weigh no more than 30 lbs. All work(s) must be submitted as a 300 dpi jpeg file and artists may submit up to four different works for consideration. Artwork should be saved with the artist’s name and title.

To be considered all artists must fill in the entry form at bfabroward.org/programs/art-and-soul/art-soul-entry-form/. There is no fee to enter but artists are responsible for delivery or shipping of artwork to the buyer, and BFA will retain a 40% commission of any sales.

The deadline to submit is Thursday, April 1 by 5 p.m. on the BFA website. All artists will be notified of jury results by Thursday, April 15.
