Excel Construction of Florida, a leading construction company with a diversified portfolio of industrial, Class A, commercial, manufacturing, distribution and retail projects, recently celebrated the Humane Society of Broward County by serving up a festive Thanksgiving lunch to the nonprofit’s compassionate and dedicated volunteers and staff.
“We are so grateful to the many nonprofits that play a vital role in the health of our community, and to those volunteers who share their time and resources to make an impact, simply out of love for a cause,” said Eric Wolf, president of Excel Construction of Florida. “It’s so important that local businesses give back and show recognition for a job well done. The Humane Society of Broward County is an incredible organization that unites families and pets through education, health services and advocacy. We wanted to take this opportunity to say thank you and express our gratitude.”
On this special occasion, the Excel team treated 60 staff and volunteers to a delicious lunchtime feast from Doris’s Italian Market & Bakery. The tasty and fun holiday gathering included a basket of turkey-flavored dog treats for adoptable animals.
“The Humane Society of Broward County staff and volunteers were extremely grateful to Excel Construction of Florida to have been chosen as the recipient of their kindness,” said Cherie Wachter, vice president of marketing at the Humane Society of Broward County. “There are many worthy nonprofit organizations in our community, and everyone was humbled by this honor. The fact that the animals were also included to enjoy some lunchtime treats made for an extra special day.”
