Our Fund Foundation Announces 2022 Arts & Culture Fund Grant Recipients Totaling $265,000

Our Fund Foundation, South Florida’s only LGBTQ community foundation, announced the nonprofit’s 2022 LGBTQ Arts & Culture Fund will award 18 grants ranging from $5,000 – $20,000, for a total of $265,500, to support fresh, bold LGBTQ-specific programs and initiatives in Broward, Miami-Dade, and Palm Beach Counties.

“The grant review committee, made up of community volunteers, was overwhelmed by the diversity of applicants and the caliber of the program submissions,” said David Jobin, President and CEO of Our Fund Foundation.  “These grants would not be possible without the generosity and forethought of our passed Legacy Society members who included Our Fund and LGBTQ causes in their wills and estate plans.”

Our Fund Foundation will celebrate the donors and recipients and the impact they have on South Florida’s LGBTQ community during a grant reception at Wilton Station on Monday, July 18 at 6 p.m.

Staying true to its mission, Our Fund gave special consideration to organizations and projects that are working towards achieving equality and inclusivity for historically underserved communities. Many of the grant recipients are organized by, and work on behalf of, these underserved populations within the LGBTQ community. Consideration was also given to organizations that have limited appeal to traditional funding sources as well as to applications that leverage partnerships between similar-missioned agencies to reduce duplication of effort/resources and expand reach/services and organizations that proved an effective and dedicated approach to addressing gaps in representation of marginalized communities.

Established in 2011, Our Fund Foundation has grown into the third largest LGBTQ foundation in the nation. As South Florida’s only LGBT community foundation, Our Fund promotes a culture of philanthropy by uniting donors with organizations advancing lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender issues in Broward, Miami-Dade and Palm Beach counties and supporting causes within the LGBT community.
