Spirit Airlines Named Official Airline Sponsor of the Broward Center for the Performing Arts

All-inclusive lounge is renamed the Spirit Club Level

The Broward Center for the Performing Arts has announced the naming of the Spirit Club Level in recognition of Spirit Airlines’ (NYSE: SAVE) multi-year sponsorship to help build community through the arts.

“As we take flight into our new season, we are thrilled to welcome Spirit Airlines as our exclusive airline partner,” said Broward Center President and CEO Kelley Shanley. “Spirit’s dedication to improving communities is evident in the airline’s philanthropic generosity. Spirit shares our passion for education and the arts. With support from donors and sponsors like Spirit, we can continue to bring more than 130,000 Broward County school students each year to the Broward Center to take part in educational performances free of charge and offer an increasing number of arts enrichment programs to our community.”

Spirit, headquartered locally Miramar, Fla., is a leading airline serving more than 80 destinations in 16 countries across the U.S., Latin America and Caribbean. Spirit’s Fit Fleet® is among the youngest and most fuel-efficient in the industry, and the company is one of only three U.S. airlines listed on Fortune’s 2021 list of World’s Most Admired® Companies, which measures companies with the strongest reputation within their industries. The donation comes from the carrier’s long-standing Corporate Social Responsibility efforts and from The Spirit Charitable Foundation, with ongoing support for nonprofit organizations focused on education, the environment, the arts, service members and disaster recovery.

“It’s our pleasure to support a community pillar like the Broward Center whose mission to build community through the arts is aligned with the goals of The Spirit Charitable Foundation,” said Lania Rittenhouse, President of The Spirit Charitable Foundation and Vice President of Guest Experience & Brand for Spirit Airlines. “In addition to supporting the arts and Broward Center’s educational initiatives, we know theatergoers will enjoy world-class entertainment in comfort and style in the Spirit Club Level.”

Located on the mezzanine level of the Au-Rene Theater, the new Spirit Club Level includes a newly designed lounge with Spirit’s famous yellow and black colors and offers a unique all-inclusive experience as patrons enjoy world-class performances from plush, even more space seats or from the windows inside the lounge, and relax with plentiful hors d’oeuvres, desserts, coffee and premium beverages at the open bar.
